#73 - Creat my own domain name for my food blog - completed!
Posted in on 9.30.2009 10:06 AM by Tasha - The Clean Eating Mama
It was super simple thanks to my girl Lesley! http://detox4me2.blogspot.com is now www.thecleaneatingmama.com! I had to pay a very small fee (10 bucks) and I am now the proud owner of my own site! And anyone can do it - click the settings button, then publishing and you can have your blog be it's own WWW. How cool is that! ;)
#17 Attend 15 spinning classes - in progress
Posted in on 9.26.2009 3:44 PM by Tasha - The Clean Eating MamaToday I participated in my first spinning class! It was intense hour of blood pumping, sweat dripping and leg burning - I loved it! The class is welcome to anyone at my gym and with a class on the schedule 6 times a week, I know I will go a lot more. Unfortunately I stayed up way to late last night working on my food blog and now I am totally wiped out! I want to lay down and sleep but little Baby J is crawling around like a mad man! :)

Read 100 books - 2 down
Posted in on 9.23.2009 10:36 AM by Tasha - The Clean Eating Mama
I have bookshelves filled to the brim of books - I just love to go into my office and stare at all of them. Sadly I have more unread books than read and I cannot help but to go to the bookstore and buy 1-2 more each and every time I visit. I want to get out of being a collector and being a reader.
I love to read - I really do. 100 books in 1001 days seems like a goal that I can easily do... we'll see.

Skydiving! Completed!
Posted in on 9.22.2009 2:26 PM by Tasha - The Clean Eating Mama
Ok, so I know this is totally cheating in some eye's but skydiving was a goal that I have dreamed of doing since I was teenager. I figured I would never get around to doing it and I finally did! It was a Mother's Day gift to me by my husband. :)
Here are some pictures:
There I go! I wasn't even nervous!
The view from up above was amazing! I could see for miles and miles. Luckily it was such a clear day.

Landing was really simple - We landed on our tooshes so I had to lift my feet and legs up and he did the rest.

Like I mentioned before, I was not nervous one bit! Although the feeling I got when I had my feet dangling out of the plane right before we jumped was the most extreme feeling ever. I jumped from 4200 feet with one full minute of free falling. The wind was intense! It was very hard to breath and my mouth was open the entire time. I kept thinking I was going to get a bug in my mouth but then I realized that bugs don't go up that high. :)
Once the chute was opened we were lazily floating around. I get pretty bad motion sickness so I wasn't up for the daring spins. Although I thought I was going to lose it there at the end! Unfortunately all day my head was spinning and I felt nauseous. It was worth it, though! I would do it again in a heart beat!

Posted in on 9.19.2009 9:54 PM by Tasha - The Clean Eating Mama
Some of you may be familiar with the 101 Things in 1001 Days project. Basically you make a list of 101 things that you would like to do in 1001 days; which is about 2.75 years. The list can be made up of pretty much anything - just no wishy-washy items. Like "be nicer", "run more" or "eat better". They have to be solid items that you can cross off of your list once you complete them. Like "hold 10 doors for strangers", "run 8 miles" or "make 1o homemade meals".
I have seen this done a few times before and thought the concept was wonderful. It makes you set goals and helps you achieve them on your own term. And since you have over 2 years to do so, the end is not so intimidating.
I for one do not partake in New Years resolutions. I think they are pointless - people only do the, for a few weeks and they go back to their old ways. I am firm believer that you can change anytime you want and accomplish your goals any day of the week. This is my journey.
I will be blogging about each item I accomplish. This should be a fun adventure! I started on September 17th 2009 and my end date is June 14th 2012. But I must admit I did put a few things on my list that I have already done only because they have been on my list my entire life! Please leave comments if you wish and if I have helped you start your own blog please leave me your website. I love to support others on their quest! Thanks for stopping by!
